I had a CT scan with contrast yesterday, and I’m happy to report that there is no sign of the ovarian cancer recurring. I’ll probably be followed for another 5 years, at least (possibly for the rest of my life) but at the moment my only problem is the amount of liquids I’m supposed to be drinking to flush the contrast dye out of my system. Not to mention the inevitable side effects of drinking some 5 liters yesterday, with a 3 liter goal for today.
Aside from a cold head (I’m still nearly bald) and continued loss of balance, I’m feeling fine. Should get back to the final editing of the trilogy soon.
So happy to hear your great new Sue Ann! You are such a blessing to us all. Keep up the great work and don’t veer too far off the doctor’s orders!
Just hope I can drink all of that liquid.
Great news! Chug that water. I have a niece who had her last chemo after a post stem cell transplant which was 2 years ago. I’m doing the happy dance in honor of you both!
I’m chugging away.
Good news indeed, Sue! I well remember the elation of getting that first “all clear” report.
Now I just hope my kidney function comes back OK, and not damaged by the dye.
Great news. I have a friend who is a 35 year survivor of ovarian cancer.
She must have been a lot younger than me when she got it!
