This was a Summer Arts Festival assignment, to write a poem about writing and inspiration, using the word “swipe.” It wound up as my contribution to Feathers, hence the embellishment.I’ll probably have another post, later today, announcing a contest.

Tell me about the cat lying on the keyboard (I didn’t know others had this problem too). Absolutely love this poem. So very true.
it’s beautiful, really.
I don’t like self-centered comments but I can’t help making it here – if poems were like my cat it would be a whole different story.
Must be a cat day,we just adopted one yesterday so have much to discover about his habits, but my daughter who has been pining for a cat for years is having her first ‘cat blues’ because he’s not attentive enough despite all the love and affection she’s giving him – think she needs a cat with dog tendencies.
Contest Entry.
Can’t believe I have a cat but he’s here as a result of my son’s suave manipulation. I’ve grown to like the ole cat, however.
Contest entry. Love cats, have 2, love the poem, it’s so true!
