Welcome to my blog!
I haven’t quite figured out how to do a day-of-the-week link for past posts, but my current schedule is:
Sunday: Six Sentence Sunday, so far with snippets of scenes from my 2nd book, Tourist Trap. I will probably go to a WIP next week, as the scene I’ve been doing is almost finished.
Monday: Meteorological Monday, with posts about current weather in Alaska
Tuesday: Review (very broadly interpreted — I’ve reviewed an amazing variety of things.)
Wednesday: Contexts for the quotes I’ve tweeted in the preceding week. Mostly from science fiction and fantasy, but I’ve also done mystery, Jane Austin, Shakespeare … Follow at @sueannbowling if you want to try to identify them yourself. I follow writers back.
Thursday: Anything that comes to mind. I’ve posted poems, essays. postcard stories, gripes … I’ve also done series on Christmas Carols, horse color genetics, and planet building, among others.
Friday: Bits of the background of the sf universe in which my books are set. Right now that’s a fictional Journal of an alien stranded on Earth 125,000 years ago.
Saturday: Science (my career was as a university scientist) and health (personal experience with diabetes, breast cancer, and stroke)
I do have a page (right sidebar or listed at the top of this page) of SheWrites blogs, culled from “What Did You Blog About Today?), “WordPress Bloggers” and “Blooming Late.” If you want to be on this rather haphazard list and you’re not, leave a comment.

Buy Homecoming from iUniverse

Wooo… love the coloring scheme here. And think I want to look in “Tourist Trap.” Not sure how to sign on, but I will link to your site to read more.
And just so you know, I am hopping by from the SHEWRITES Blog Ball. Hope you enjoy.

I’ll be putting the first chapter on BookBuzzr pretty soon, and I think the first part is available for free kindle download. Can’t remember whether Amazon has look in the book on Tourist Trap — they do on Homecoming. As for the color scheme, I had iUniverse set up the blog, so while I know the name of the theme (Motion, I believe) I didn’t set it up. And I wish I could figure out how to change that welcome at the upper right. I think the subscription sign-up’s in the right sidebar, but it’s pretty far down.
wow! that is quite a blogging schedule. Good luck with your blog.. I am looking forward to reading your posts 😀

Wow…I admire the way you’ve developed a schedule for your writing. It’s encouraging, really. I’m still trying to figure out my own ‘system’, but so far, I find myself succumbing to the temptations of the internet and TV re-runs!
Hello, I’m visiting from She Writes. Good luck with Tourist Trap.
Have a great weekend.
Great schedule. Nice to meet you. Im val!
Great to *meet* you, Sue Ann! I’m floored by your ability to maintain so many memes! I’m only able to put together one solid post a week, plus the handful of hop groups I belong to. For fun, though, I do little games on Twitter and FB called “Meta-Me” Monday and “FoodFic” Friday that I would love for you to chime in on if you could squeeze it in 😉
Hi Sue Ann,
I like the concept of having a theme for each day of the week. I’ve often referred to my blog as ‘random’ because it doesn’t have a central theme – unless it would be observations of life. I’ll have to check out ‘Tourist Trap’. Sounds great!

Hi Sue Ann, So happy you stopped at my, “Ebooks . . . The Contemporary David and Goliath”‘ post during the blog hop. I noted and felt your frustration and would love to talk in person, or maybe via email (onhrway@earthlink.net). You’re one very talented lady, you should be thrilled . . . but? Anyway, my manuscript has been done for almost 2 years, during which time I’ve taken a writing/publishing class in Santa Barbara . . . the testing ground for my work. It was awesome. So I do know how to self-publish, but was trying the traditional route first. But with so many changes in publishing, I’m having 2nd thoughts. 2 wks ago, I clicked on an ad for self-publishing located on a SheWrites blog. The ad offered to send information. It was from iUniverse! Why I’d like to talk. Instead of getting info in the mail, I now have my own personal consultant calling me every other day. I work and am very busy and never called her back. Yesterday I did. (Same day you left your post). She’s telling me a lot of things I’d love to discuss with someone who’s been there . . . like you! How does that sound? I’ve done a lot of studying over the last 2 years and decided to establish a readerbase before my book release. Also I’m putting together a lot of information on publicizing, exposure!, which I will be blogging about along the way. Let me know what you think. You can leave a message on my blog, or send me an email. Much success with Tourist Trap.
