The story is ecotourism on a planet terraformed from Pleistocene Earth, with attempted murder, and in this scene a thunderstorm has come up while the group is sailing across a lake.
The sailboat was cutting through the water at a rate he had rarely seen, and didn’t really want to see. “Penny, do we have some more emergency bars? Just in case I have to levitate?” She looked a little green, he thought as she handed him the bar. In fact, all three girls looked a little green. “Want me to try to do something about that seasickness?” he asked, and Flame shook her head.
