Boosting (Homecoming Glossary)

BOOSTING: #scifi Interstellar teleportation or communication takes more energy than most people can comfortably spare, and the amount of energy needed tends to increase with the distance. Boosting means the person is using an external source of energy. This may be direct or (more often) through a computer link.

Suppressor Field (Homecomint Glossary)

SUPPRESSOR FIELD: #scifi A field which damps down esper talents. A strong esper can work through a suppressor field, but with considerable difficulty. Those with esper talents can still make an esper connection with a computer, but special interfaces are needed.
