I am Cat.
Favored of Bast,
Destroyer of rodents
Which infest your granaries.
I thank you for the granaries you build,
And for the vermin they attract.
I still think my own thoughts
As I walk alone.
I am Cat.
Self-contained,
Ruler of the darkness,
And I walk apart from you.
Why do you fear the blackness so,
And creatures that seek it?
It is good hunting time
For those who see.
I am Cat.
I deign to live
With you for food
And fingers massaging me
In the warmth of the fire in winter.
Although I walk alone,
I begin to know
What Love is.
Sue Ann, Great writing as you write with meaning for all to understand and appreciate.
After you had written ‘Homecoming’ I became very confused not understand that it was the same Sue Ann Bowling I had known from Insulin Pumpers.org. You had quit writing about your experiences in Alaska making it seem that some way Insulin Pumpers had found another Sue Ann Bowling. Then there were URL addresses that had not been seen before and the writing did not sound as if it could have been the same Sue Ann Bowling as we had become familiar with in earlier writings. I am glad that you are moving ahead and doing well. I appreciate your work.
I have so many URL’s at this point I have trouble keeping track of them all, but when Homecoming came out I changed my sig to give the new author website. I’m still the same Alaskan as ever, and Homecoming was written over the last 15 years and includes some hypoglycemia episodes. I did leave and rejoin due to problems when I changed mail applications–my posts just weren’t showing up, though I was still getting IP. Finally left and rejoined, and that seemed to fix the problem.
